16 agencies are working abroad, that is to say one third of the FNAU network.

But on this total, three of them (Apur / Paris, IAURIF / Greater Paris and Urbalyon / Lyon) have realized 70% of the actions.

With which partners and financing ?

43% of these actions were driven in the framework of decentralized cooperation agreements, either with local municipalities (26%) or of international cities networks (17%) such as European programs (Med-Urbs, Asia-Urbs, Meda) or UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments).

The French technical cooperation has been involved in 25% of the cases, mostly with financing from the Embassies or sometimes from several French ministries (Foreign Affairs, Transport & Infrastructure).

15% have been realized as consultants of foreign ministries of local public bodies such as the Council for Development and Reconstruction of the Republic of Lebanon, for example. The other financing have been provided either by international bodies (WB, IBRD, EU, UN, ABD..) or by French organizations such as the French Agency for Development.
